Highly recommended is the Two Bunch Palms Spa Resort near Palm Springs.

This is an intriguing place. Al Capone had his own room there. He used to go there to get away from it all. His room is almost an antique in itself. Stay in it if you can.

Some say this type of spa vacation is good for your health. The spa has mineral waters at around 90 degrees. You can use the little floating noodles provided and drift in these waters for hours, reading a Tom Clancy novel or whatever takes your fancy. The restaurant is high class and the food and wine excellent.

The spa itself has all types of massage and the usual spa services.

Palm Springs is not far away and you can drive there in about twenty minutes. Go up the aerial tramway and see an incredible view across the Coachella Valley.

The time to plan this spa vacation is from October to April. The heat and humidity goes way too high in June and the summer months.
